JAKE EDDY
FLATPICK SAFARI
MUSIC SAFARI INTRODUCTION
Join Jake Eddy on his six day Flatpick Safari .
The highlight would be the daily safari drives and 4 full days of being immersed in Flatpick guitar music and jamming goodness with Jake Eddy .
The Jake Eddy Flatpick Safari in South Africa is an event for music-lovers of all ages and levels! Whether you are an experienced player, a beginner, or just an enthusiastic fan, our six day program offers activities and workshops for you. Our environments are non-competitive and are strictly about immersing oneself in the joys of music and our lovely surroundings! The Jake Eddy Flatpick Safari promises to be a highly rewarding and unforgettable musical adventure.
During the workshop sessions, you can expect practical, hands-on instruction providing a first hand musical encounter with Jake Eddy . Upon arrival at the Skukuza rest camp in the Kruger national park we will spend time to tailor-make our workshop sessions, to ensure that every student gets the most out of their experience.
You will dive deep into the guitar fundamentals Jake has used to build his unique Flatpick style. Jake will also show you how he uses and applies these fundamentals to navigate recording sessions and live gigs as a highly in demand professional musician.
All of this personalized and tailored instruction, an al fresco ‘bush performance’ by Jake Eddy and the added bonus of jamming alongside a guitar master in the heart of one of the most beautiful settings in Africa will make this an unforgettable, once in a lifetime music safari experience.
DESCRIPTION
On this Jake Eddy Flatpick Safari we will be staying at the iconic Skukuza rest camp, which is situated within the world famous Kruger national park, South Africa’s biggest and oldest national reserve.
‘Where nearly 2 million hectares of unrivalled diversity of life forms fuses with historical and archaeological sights – this is real Africa. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.’
We will also take a full-day tour to the Panorama Route to appreciate the magnificent scenery of this unique part of the Kruger Lowveld region. The Panorama Route offers a kaleidoscope of breath-taking scenery, natural beauty, and African diversity.
We will visit some of the impressive sites along the Panorama Route. Learn about the Blyde River Canyon – the world’s largest green canyon and the third largest canyon in the world. Visit breath-taking waterfalls and take in the view at God’s Window on the edge of the escarpment and stop at Bourke’s Luck Potholes, where these deep cylindrical cavities formed by thousands of years of water erosion.
